Position Overview:
The Business Development Associate position is primarily remote in nature and will focus on telephonic sales responsibilities assigned to a Chubb-aligned geographic territory.  Candidate preferably located in proximity to a Chubb office and will be expected to engage in the local office on occasion

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute telephonic business development strategies for an assigned group of agents within a defined geographic territory. Focus on Small Business sales, with additional responsibilities to market and grow Financial Lines and Lower Middle Market business.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract new distribution sources to your territory.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.
  • Manage and maintain focus on key performance indicators (KPIs), including appointments, quotes, issued policies, line and industry mix, and profitability.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the local marketplace, Chubb's capabilities, and corporate vision.

Major Duties:

  • Create tactical sales plans to achieve annual objectives, including new business production, market share growth, revenue, business mix, and profit.
  • Collaborate with Chubb underwriting staff and field colleagues to promote a unified approach to products and capabilities.
  • Gather and share feedback on market conditions specific to your territory.
  • Implement Chubb agency management strategies and develop/manage key strategic relationships.
  • Identify new customers through effective pipelining, pre-qualification, territory analysis, and management.

  • 2+ years of proven sales experience in a high-performing environment.

  • Strong skills in negotiation, relationship building, and influence.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote).
  • Entrepreneurial and creative approach to challenges and opportunities.

The pay range for the role is $60,000 to $88,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.  Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website.  The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
