The Product Manager is responsible for developing and executing product strategies that include product costing, separator design documentation, new product development, new component acquisition, and internal product design optimization efforts across Transcend's portfolio of engineered separation systems, filtration technologies, consumable products, and aftermarket solution offerings.

This role will work with Engineering, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Customer Support to define product requirements, prioritize development initiatives, support commercialization efforts, and manage products throughout their lifecycle.

The Product Manager combines market insight, technical understanding, and business acumen to identify growth opportunities, support new product development, improve competitive positioning, and deliver solutions that align with customer needs and company objectives.

The ideal candidate has experience in industrial process technologies and a strong background in product management, market analysis, product development, and commercialization within engineered products or process industry environments.

Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Manage assigned product lines throughout their lifecycle, from market assessment and product planning through commercialization, growth, and eventual phase-out.
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with business goals, customer requirements, and market opportunities.
  • Gather and evaluate voice-of-customer feedback to identify unmet needs and prioritize product enhancements and new product opportunities.
  • Develop business cases and product requirements for new product development initiatives.
  • Assist in portfolio optimization efforts, including product rationalization, pricing analysis, and lifecycle planning.
  • Act as the primary product advocate and subject matter expert for assigned product lines.
  • Partner with Sales teams to develop value propositions, product positioning (product datasheets: equipment description and performance), and go-to-market strategies.
  • Engage with customers, EPC firms, channel partners, and industry stakeholders to understand market trends and business challenges.
  • Support customer presentations, product demonstrations, and technical discussions.
  • Participate in industry conferences, trade associations, and customer meetings to gather market intelligence and strengthen industry presence.
  • Analyze customer feedback and market data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Technical teams to define and document product requirements for manufacturing and prioritize development activities.
  • Support new product development projects from concept through launch, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, regulatory developments, and competitive offerings.
  • Assist in evaluating new technologies, adjacent markets, and opportunities for portfolio expansion.
  • Support product validation, testing, and commercialization activities as needed.
  • Support revenue growth and profitability objectives for assigned product lines.
  • Analyze product performance metrics, market share, pricing effectiveness, and customer adoption trends.
  • Develop forecasts, demand estimates, and market opportunity assessments.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, and Finance to support pricing strategies and product profitability initiatives.
  • Track key performance indicators and recommend actions to improve market performance and business results.
  • Support growth of consumables, aftermarket solutions, and recurring revenue opportunities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of product initiatives.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Sales, and Customer Service organizations throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to align priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Support product launch planning, sales enablement, and training activities.
  • Assist in developing product documentation, technical content, and commercial support materials.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Business, Marketing, or a related field required.
  • Technical or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, Engineering, Applications Engineering, Process Engineering, or related industrial technology environments.
  • Experience supporting engineered products, industrial equipment, filtration, separations, process technologies, or related markets.
  • Demonstrated success contributing to product development, commercialization, product lifecycle management, and market growth initiatives.
  • Experience conducting market analysis, customer research, competitive assessments, and business case development.
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategy, product positioning, and value proposition development.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in product management tools, data analysis, and business planning methodologies.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15-20% throughout North America.

  • Concentrated mental and/or visual attention. The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods. 
  • The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of job.  Visits to our manufacturing facility and suppliers’ facilities is required to monitor active projects and address design issues. 
  • Compliance with company attendance standards.  

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
