Job description

Trideum Corporation has an opening for a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Technician Intern. This is a temporary position located in Huntsville, AL supporting one or more efforts. The person in this role is responsible for gaining real-world exposure to the use of MBSE tools and the technical environment within which MBSE personnel operate. Reports to Systems Engineering Lead.
Duties: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Shadow MBSE team members during model development, formal and informal model reviews, model import/export operations, and discussions with technical team members needing to understand and apply MBSE content.
  • Learn and apply initial modeling skills under the guidance of an MBSE mentor during definition of products needed for testing Army aviation, missile, and/or sensor systems
  • Learn the language of systems engineering and MBSE in context of creating products and applying them to system test programs.
  • Participate in discussions with engineers from a variety of fields as well as with subject matter experts on Army systems and the resources needed for testing them in order to acquire information ready for use in MBSE models.
  • Organize and check information as needed to enable correct import into MBSE Cameo based models.
  • Provide a presentation to select team members upon completion of the internship on an MBSE topic relevant to the team and to the intern.
  • No travel is anticipated for this position.

Required Qualifications:
  • Enrolled in a Systems Engineering Technology 2-year associates degree program or abbreviated Short Term Certificate program focused on MBSE using Cameo that prepares students from the Object Management Group (OMG) Certified Systems Modeling Professionalโ„ข (OCSMPโ„ข) Model User, SysML Model Builder - Fundamental, and SysML Model Builder - Intermediate certification exams
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated skills using Microsoft Excel to organize information and generating simple equations
  • Demonstrated skills creating reports and presentations in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills within a multi-team environment
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, except in limited circumstances where legally entitled to an accommodation
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance

Desired Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience creating systems or structures of any kind (simple or complex)
  • Experience working with large information sets in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with configuration management
  • Experience serving in leadership positions
