Job description

Signature Products Group is an industry leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of licensed products for some of the best brands in the world. We bring focus and specialization to a wide range of product categories, from belts to patented automotive accessories. What we do tomorrow is not limited by what we do today.
As a Copy and Content Intern for SPG, you'll review, audit, and create content and copy to support marketing and ecommerce needs, create systems, and participate in market research and AI solutions across multiple brands and use cases. A large emphasis will be on assisting our Content Manager and Designers in the creation of new copy, and management of and clean-up of digital content. This position will flex as needed to support other production work essential to the function and streamlining of the Marketing department's workflow.
This individual will gain experience from a "Focus Project" during their time at SPG. This project is owned by the Intern and reflects a specific need of the department at time of employment
- The objective of the 2026 "Focus Project" is the Curation of and Creation of product, and ecommerce copy, and general content and AI process improvements. Throughout this project you will aid cross departmentally and sit in on discussions and gain experience collaborating between Marketing and Ecommerce Teams. Generating copy to specific use case, brand guides, and quality standards.
While working with the teams, they will report to the Content Manager and at times cross functionally to the Ecomm Team.
What You'll Do:
  • Draft, edit, and proofread product descriptions, ecommerce listings, and marketing copy across multiple brands, ensuring alignment with brand voice and style guides.
  • Audit existing digital content (product pages, website copy, social captions) for accuracy and consistency, and support clean-up and organization efforts.
  • Help build and maintain content systems and workflows (calendars, trackers, style guides) to streamline the Marketing team's process.
  • Support market research and help evaluate and test AI tools and workflows for content generation, editing, and quality review.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Content Manager, Designers, and Ecommerce team, including participating in team discussions and project meetings.
  • Own and execute the Focus Project from scoping through completion, presenting outcomes to stakeholders at the end of the internship.
  • Provide general production support to the Marketing department as priorities shift.

Requirements
Job Requirements:
  • Currently in process of getting a degree in Creative Writing, Marketing, or related field of study. Will accept recent graduate.
  • Experience with content or social media writing a bonus.
  • Some experience with AI learning, generating copy, copy editing preferred.
  • Has a passion for writing and creating brand voice.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Self-Motivated work ethic, detail oriented, and able to work autonomously.
  • Has a collaborative problem-solving mindset, with ability to digest feedback to improve performance and output.
  • Able to enthusiastically meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to assess, organize, and manage processes.
  • Familiarity with content management or ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify) is a plus, though not required.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace; exposure to project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com) helpful.
  • Provide samples of writing work, school project work also acceptable. Samples are not required but helpful.

Internship Parameters:
  • College credit and paid internship available.
  • Would like someone available 25-30 hours a week with the possibility of full-time employment upon graduation based on performance and company need.
