Position Description:

The CNC Machinist, Level I, will produce high-quality precision components. This position is responsible for operating the CNC machine to produce parts according to engineering specifications. This job requires expertise in CNC machining, attention to detail, and commitment to quality while ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Competencies:
  • Experience as a CNC machinist in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Ability to learn CNC machining techniques.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing highquality work.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Must be familiar with quality standards (ISO9001/AS9100).
  • Must have own tools and know the proper use of inspection tools.
  • Essential Functions:
  • Operate a CNC machine to produce highprecision components within specified tolerances.
  • Complete basic machine setups by loading necessary tools, inputting program codes, and securing work pieces.
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, making necessary adjustments as required.
  • Complete finishing and deburring on parts as necessary.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve any machining issues.
  • Keep accurate records of production processes, machine settings, and tool changes.
  • Learn and understand interpreting part prints, dimensioning, as well as tolerance.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Live tooling and subspindle experience is preferred.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to CNC machining.
