Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:
To perform all work duties as described. Unstack pallets of produce, unload
produce from delivery truck and store into produce cooler or storage area. Retrieve
produce from cooler, stack produce onto produce cart and wheel cart to produce
area. Wash and trim produce and stock display cases. Usage of cutting, slicing and
trimming utensils or equipment provided to perform job. Clean work area.
Occasionally crushes boxes, sweeps and mops floor of produce department.
Occasionally assist in general receiving and bagging groceries. Wrap, weigh and
price produce occasionally for customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Continuous handling of freight and produce throughout cooler and produce
department.
• Repetitive use of arms, wrists and hands while stocking and trimming produce.
• Work in a standing/walking position for 8 hours a day.
• Lift and carry bulky materials and products weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent pushing/pulling of 4-wheel produce cart to transport produce from
cooler or storage area to produce department sales area.

DESIRED, NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Weigh, wrap and price products.
• Stock display cases.
• Take customers orders.
• Keep work station clean and sanitary.
