Job description

Piazza Produce, A FreshEdge LLC company, is hiring Non CDL Regional Home Daily Box Truck Reefer Drivers in Lexington, KY. Piazza Produce offers a wide array of produce, locally sourced goods, specialty items, and more. Piazza Produce delivers to over 150 surrounding cities including Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, Tennessee, and Michigan. This allows us a large distribution network in which we are able to backhaul and deliver products from producers who need help distributing their products. Our fleet has grown to include trucks equipped with refrigeration and GPS tracking devices, making us a great option for dry or perishable loads.

Compensation:

  • Average annual earnings: $51,500+
  • Base Rate: $18.00 - $19.00/hour with 50+ average hours per week
  • Scheduled annual increases!
  • Overtime is paid after 40 hours worked

Additional Pay Incentives:

  • Sign-on Bonus: $3,000 NET with payments of $1,000 at 30 days, 60 days and 90 days
  • Loyalty Bonus
  • Safety Bonus: Eligible after 90 days
  • Paid annually 1% of total wages for safe drivers
  • Paid via direct deposit weekly

Home Time, Schedule & Route:

  • Home Time: Home daily
  • Schedule: Monday - Saturday (5-6 days per week)
  • Work every Saturday and off every Sunday and one other day off during the week
  • Shift: Typically, 8-12 hour shifts with start time at 5:00am (until work is done)
  • Route: Deliver to over 150 cities around IN, OH & KY
  • Routes can be 15-25 stops per day
  • Deliver 300+ cases per day (up/downstairs at some locations)
  • Level of Touch: Touch Freight, load & unload
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull 50lbs with no assistance
  • Be able to use pallet Jacks, 2-wheel dolly & phone scanner

Equipment:

  • Non-CDL Box Truck Full-Service Lease
  • All trucks are automatic

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Drivers with a CDL A, B or C license are still encouraged to express interest - our team has opportunities for you that we would love to discuss with you!
  • 1 year of commercial driving experience is preferred but not required
  • 0 DUI/DWI are allowed
  • Must have no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years and proven safe PSP Score
  • Must have no more than 3 preventable accidents in the past 3 years
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations 
  • Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen 
  • Must be able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions: hot, cold, dust, indoors and outdoors
  • Drivers must live within a 40-mile radius of Lexington, KY, or be willing to relocate for a position
