Description
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for serving the company with the compliance to the state sanitation protocols. The sanitation specialist fallows sanitizing policies and performs daily inspections. Maintain the cleanliness of the equipment and facility. Work with management to ensure efficiency and safety.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Must comply with all standards operating procedures.
  • Follow SSOPs.
  • Sweep, mop, pick up trash, and related janitorial tasks.
  • Wash, scrub, hose down, etc., all equipment/machinery/lines and bagging Machine with water, soap, cleaning and chemical solutions.
  • Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
  • Complete all assignments precisely and in a timely manner.
  • Wash out dumpsters and garbage cans.
  • Remove pallets to sweep/wash, as instructed.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the warehouse floor.
  • Cleans up any debris or spills that could become a hazard.
  • Ensures a safe work environment.
  • Solids must not be hosed down drains.
  • Wash walls and floors, as needed, with pressure washer.
  • Will be involved with food safety activities

Other Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Must always wear employee badge ID inside the facility.
  • Follow the chain of command.
  • Do not leave job post/area without notifying the supervisor.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.
  • Weekend shift assigned if needed.

Physical Demand and Work Environment :

  • Physical demands: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; stand, use hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close and distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust and focus. Able to communicate Talk and hear.
  • Working Conditions: Ability to work flexible shifts, such as morning or evenings, including Saturdays and Sundays. Ability to work with vibration, wide variety of noise, heat, cold and moving parts. Must be able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to be punctual and reliable. Commitment to safety. Employee must be able to work on Extreme cold.
