Job Summary
This position is responsible for ensuring the tasks (sorting, grading and any other task assigned by supervisor) get performed in a safe and efficient manner while still complying with the proper protocols and procedures meeting customer specifications. This is an active role that requires you work on multiple projects at once. Must work with management to ensure efficiency and safety.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Grade and sort products according to factors such as color, specs, length, width, appearance, feel, smell, quality, and weight.
  • Discard inferior or defective products, and place acceptable products in containers for further processing.
  • Consistently maintains a satisfactory level of productivity.
  • Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
  • perform quality inspections of materials, grading properly, and ensuring that the delivery is completed as requested and that the order meets company and industry standards.
  • Place and grade products in containers according to specifications.
  • Attach appropriate labels and tags to produce and packages when necessary.
  • Must always wear employee badge ID inside the facility.
  • Will be involved with food safety activities

Skills/Perform Standard/Abilities:
  • Assemble cardboards boxes.
  • Follow the chain of command.
  • Do not leave job post/area without notifying the supervisor.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.
  • Possible weekend shift assigned as needed.

Physical Demand and Work Environment :

  • Physical demands: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to walk; sit; stand, use hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close and distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust and focus. Able to communicate Talk and hear.
  • Working Conditions: Ability to work flexible shifts, such as morning or evenings, including Saturdays and Sundays.
