Job description

Employment Type: Full-time, hourly

Compensation: $18 - $34 per hour, depending on experience

Location: Plymouth, UT

GBI in Plymouth, UT is seeking a skilled Fabrication Machinist to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued growth and success within the Oil & Energy industry.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain machining equipment to fabricate high-quality metal parts and components according to specified blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Set up machines including CNC and manual machinists tools to perform tasks such as drilling, cutting, and shaping metal materials.
  • Inspect finished parts for quality assurance, ensuring compliance with company standards and customer specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with the fabrication team and engineering to optimize processes and resolve machining issues.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and perform routine preventative maintenance on machining tools.
  • Document production activities and report progress, issues, and recommendations to supervisors.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Fabrication Machinist or similar role in the oil and energy industry or heavy industrial fabrication.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machinery operation, programming, and manual machining techniques.
