The Manager, Procurement Operations provides overall direction and guidance to the procurement activities of the organization. Provides strategic leadership and management to individuals supporting procurement projects, programs, and systems. The Senior Manager, Procurement Operations, will strive to maximize growth and profitability while responsibly managing the resources of their team according to company expectations and policies. Develops and implements long and short-term strategies to achieve financial and savings targets. Develops emerging talent and successors and creates a work environment that promotes the values of DSV.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for supporting the Company strategy including growth, savings, and transformational initiatives. Develops departmental strategies to align with enterprise targets. Ensures targets are achieved and needs are also met.
  • Ensures operational excellence within and across our core services.
  • Ensures operational excellence through standardization of existing practices, risk assessment and review of key metrics.
  • Oversees the management and execution of several request for quote / proposal projects simultaneously.
  • Ensures tracking of spending by category is monitored and creates recommendations for new projects to generate cost savings.
  • Provides final negotiation support of new contracts.
  • Oversees transition and rollout of executed agreements, contracts, MSAs, and programs to operational or functional support leaders.
  • Develops KPIs and OKRs to track compliance of deployed procurement initiatives.
  • Provides leadership and creates an environment that fosters passion, teamwork and agility within the organization.
  • Ensures initiatives are developed and executed in the selection and development of talent and creates an environment that improves associate engagement.
  • Consistently works within a complex matrixed environment.
  • Works collaboratively and establishes solid business relationships with supporting departments including but not limited to: Operations, Human Resources, Sales, and Finance.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education & Experience:
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, Business or Logistics or equivalent fields is required
  • Minimum of 7 years experience with minimum of 3 years leading large programs and/or teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate as required.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $103,000.00 - $103,000.00 Annual. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
