Job description

Senior Procurement Lead
Location: Queens/Nassau Border
Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite
Salary Range: 70K-80K annually
The Procurement Lead plays a critical role in supporting the organization's procurement strategy by leading sourcing activities, public solicitations, and vendor negotiations across indirect operations and CAPEX projects. This is a hands-on role for an experienced procurement professional who can work independently while collaborating closely with business, legal, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end public sourcing and solicitation activities (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, EOIs), including scope development, bidder engagement, evaluations, awards, and contracting
  • Partner with internal business owners, legal, and stakeholders to align procurement strategy with operational needs
  • Negotiate contracts, renewals, leases, and service agreements to achieve best value and cost savings
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, public bidding requirements, and organizational standards
  • Support vendor management, including issue resolution, performance reviews, and post-award monitoring
  • Maintain accurate procurement, contract, and vendor records within Ariba, SAP, and related systems
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive experience leading public or institutional procurement and bidding activities
  • Must have strong experience with public bidding, vendor negotiations, solicitations, and contract review
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or certifications in procurement, supply chain, or contract management a plus
  • Experience with SAP/Ariba or similar ERP systems preferred
In accordance with New York salary transparency requirements, the anticipated annual base salary range for this position is: $70,000 - $80,000. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated project leadership background.
