Job description

Location: Norcross, Georgia(Onsite)
About the role
Malvern Panalytical is seeking a strategic Director of Procurement to lead procurement operations across the U.S. and Canada. Based in Norcross, this role is responsible for procurement strategy and supplier management across multiple North American locations, including Norcross, GA; Northampton, MA; and Quebec, Canada. Reporting to the Global Procurement Director, you will drive supply chain resilience, cost optimization, supplier performance, and procurement excellence across the region.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the North American procurement strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Lead sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiations, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, R&D, and Finance to support operational performance and new product introductions.
  • Drive supplier performance, risk mitigation, and supply continuity across North America.
  • Lead procurement activities across sites in the U.S. and Canada, ensuring consistent processes and best practices.
  • Develop and coach a high-performing procurement team while fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Support sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supply chain.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of procurement or supply chain experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience leading procurement across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Strong negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing experience.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Ariba.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferred
  • MBA or relevant master's degree.
  • APICS, CIPS, ISM, or similar certification.
  • Experience within scientific, medical device, industrial technology, or high-tech manufacturing environments.
