JOB SUMMARY
Join Weissman's Supply Chain team as an Associate Purchasing Agent and help ensure the right products are available at the right time to support our customers and business operations. In this role, you'll manage purchase orders from placement through delivery, monitor shipment activity, maintain critical purchasing data, and work closely with vendors to keep inventory moving efficiently through the supply chain.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage purchase orders from creation through delivery, ensuring accuracy throughout the procurement process.
  • Track purchase orders from initial placement through production completion and delivery.
  • Monitor shipments throughout transit and update internal systems with shipment milestones and status information.
  • Review vendor shipping documentation to ensure compliance with Customs regulations and company policies.
  • Track and resolve purchase order discrepancies, including pricing, quantity, and delivery variances.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing, shipment, and inventory records within company systems.
  • Communicate regularly with vendors to ensure on-time delivery performance and resolve issues impacting order fulfillment.
  • Update inventory availability and in-stock tracking reports with accurate status comments and delivery information.
  • Provide timely updates to internal stakeholders regarding purchase order status, inventory availability, and shipment activity.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support inventory flow, customer fulfillment, and overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Identify and escalate potential supply chain risks, delays, or discrepancies to minimize business impact.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts that enhance purchasing accuracy, reporting, and operational effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Merchandising, or a related field preferred.

Experience
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory management, or a related business function preferred.
  • Experience within apparel, retail, consumer products, manufacturing, or a similar industry is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, + Abilities
  • Knowledge of purchasing, procurement, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
  • Familiarity with vendor relationship management and order tracking activities.
  • Understanding of logistics, shipment tracking, lead times, and inventory flow.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business systems used to support purchasing and inventory management.
  • Experience working within ERP, purchasing, or supply chain management systems preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and identify discrepancies.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with vendors and cross-functional business partners.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
