Job description

Company Overview

At Mazzuca Contracting, Inc., our guiding principle is BUILDING BEYOND EXPECTATIONS. We are a full-service general contractor specializing in fast-track commercial construction across the DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia region. We focus on innovation, integrity, and delivering superior quality on every project.

Our culture centers on empowering our people. We work hard to create an environment where team members are safe, supported, and able to grow. We believe that when our employees are fulfilled and engaged, they deliver exceptional results for our clients.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on complex commercial projects in the DMV area, including secure facilities, corporate interiors, and high-tech spaces. This is a key role for someone who wants to own the jobsite, drive results, and be recognized for delivering high-quality work on schedule.

If you enjoy fast-paced projects, coordinating multiple trades, and solving problems in the field, this role offers the chance to take on challenging, visible work with a company that is growing locally and nationally.

What You'll Do
  • Lead day-to-day onsite construction activities, ensuring work is performed safely, according to plans, and to Mazzuca quality standards.
  • Coordinate and sequence multiple trades and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Monitor and manage field construction documentation, including drawings, RFIs, and change conditions, to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Use tools such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Procore to track progress, document work, and communicate clearly with the project team.
  • Serve as the primary field contact for the project team and client representatives, maintaining professional relationships and reinforcing our commitment to client satisfaction.
What Success Looks Like
  • Within your first 6-12 months, you consistently deliver commercial projects (10,000 sq. ft. and larger) on time, on budget, and to specified quality standards.
  • Jobsite safety is proactively managed, with safety protocols enforced and a strong safety culture visible in daily operations.
  • Field coordination issues are identified early, resolved efficiently, and documented accurately, minimizing rework and change impacts.
  • Clients, subcontractors, and internal teams view you as a reliable, solutions-focused leader who communicates clearly and takes ownership of project outcomes.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of 10 years of commercial construction experience, ideally including SCIFs, secure spaces, secure data labs, and corporate interiors.
  • Deep understanding of construction details, including electrical, mechanical, and architectural systems, with the ability to read and interpret complex plans and MEP drawings.
  • Proven track record managing commercial projects over 10,000 sq. ft., with responsibility for schedule, quality, coordination, and field problem-solving.
  • Comfort using construction technology (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Procore) and a reputation for being detail-oriented, organized, and accountable. Willingness to travel is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and technical expertise.
  • Dynamic, team-oriented environment with continuous growth opportunities.
  • Full-time superintendent role in commercial construction.
  • Projects primarily in the DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia area.
How to Apply

To be considered, please submit your resume through this job posting or apply directly via our careers page. We look forward to exploring how we can build beyond expectations together.
