About The Role
POSITION SUMMARY:
Supports and works closely with Loan Officers and Credit Analysts while interfacing with customers to provide assistance in the preparation of loan documents, disbursement of loan advances, loan servicing, and organization and maintenance of electronic loan files. Assures quality customer service by providing friendly, professional, and efficient service to customers and outside associates. Provides effective and efficient administration of installment, commercial, and real estate loan collateral files through the timely and accurate processing of all documents and entries, which are in compliance with bank and regulatory compliance. Provides support to Loan Officers in preparation of loan documents, financial statement and loan analysis.
The pay range for this position is: $23.98 to 35.98 per hour.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Provides support to loan officers by preparing all necessary loan documents accurately and within guidelines. Assists loan officers with preparation of loan documents, correspondance, periodic reports, financial statements, and loan analysis reports.
  • Assures quality customer service and portrays a positive and professional image for the Bank by friendly and efficient handling of all customers and by developing and maintaining professional relationships with Insurance Agents, Title Company personnel, State and County Auditors and other outside associates.
  • Posts advances and receipts for all loans, including the participation loans. Enters advances and payments on budget tracking report.
  • Avoids possible loss to the Bank by ensuring all installment, commercial and real estate loans are processed within the policies and processes established by the Bank.
  • Ensures for accurate and timely processing of commercial and consumer loans by providing accurate lien and due diligence reviews, order input and review of legal documents. Ensures maximum collateral protection to the Bank. Maintains orderly files so that unnecessary documents are purged. Maintains a list of pending and exception items and follow-up to assure receipt and completion of assigned collateral files. Prepare and release forms on paid out loans.
  • Prepares and mails loan renewal packets in a timely manner.
  • Prepares copies of customer provided financial and legal documents as requested.
  • May assist with Branch Operations, such as coordinating schedule to ensure adequate staffing coverage during business hours, answering phones, greeting customers, dual control activities and other responsibilities and duties by delegation of Branch Manager and Loan Operations Manager.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION:
  • This position has been established to provide accurate and timely work involving complex loan and reports in which policies and established processed are to be adhered to consistently. This position requires the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Incumbent must have the ability to work under short time frames and deadlines and during high volume peak periods, which could require the need to work overtime as necessary. Incumbent must be able to work independently and be self-directed. Incumbent must have the ability to work well with others and take direction from multiple loan officers.
  • Incumbent will be attentive to customers' and loan officers' loan processing needs.
  • Incumbent must have the ability to work effectively with multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and timelines.
  • Incumbent must have the ability and willingness to cross-sell all Bank products in a professional manner.
  • Incumbent must have the ability to use sound business judgment involving customer inquires, loan advances and receipts, problems or complaints through appropriate action and/or referral to a supervisor.

About You
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND SKILLS:
  • 3 years experience in banking, finance, accounting, or lending environment preferred.
  • High School diploma/GED.
  • Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong typing, word processing, and 10-Key skills.
  • Accuracy with financial calculations is essential.
  • Must be well organized, detail-oriented, accurate, efficient, and able to multi-task in a customer-oriented environment.
  • Strong time management skills.

Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position. Most Full-Time employees are also offered 6 paid holidays and Part Time employees are offered pro-rated paid holidays.
