Join Our Growing Mortgage Team


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Loan Processor to join our expanding mortgage team in Tustin. This position plays a key role in supporting the loan process from application to closing while ensuring files are accurate, compliant, and moving efficiently through underwriting.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong communication skills, and enjoys helping borrowers successfully navigate the home financing process.


Responsibilities


  • Review mortgage loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Collect, verify, and analyze borrower documentation including income, assets, credit, title, and appraisal reports
  • Submit loan files to underwriting and assist with clearing underwriting conditions
  • Maintain consistent communication with loan officers, borrowers, escrow, and third-party vendors
  • Order and track services such as VOEs, VODs, title reports, insurance, and fraud checks
  • Ensure loan files meet lender and agency guidelines including FHA, VA, Conventional, Non-QM, and DSCR programs
  • Monitor loan pipeline to ensure deadlines and contract closing dates are met
  • Prepare files for final approval and coordinate with escrow for closing and funding
  • Provide excellent customer service by keeping borrowers and internal teams informed throughout the process


Qualifications


  • 2+ years of mortgage industry experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Automated Underwriting Systems (DU / LP)
  • Experience with mortgage Loan Origination Systems (Encompass preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple loan files
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
