Sr. Manager, Process Management - Partner Testing and Certification

As a Sr. Manager of Process Management, you will lead a team of process managers in delivering flawlessly executed processes that improve business efficiency and drive results. You will create and modify processes while collaborating with smart and passionate leaders to influence results that have a direct impact on the company's bottom line. You will monitor data trends to measure effectiveness and install necessary benchmarks or thresholds to ensure data integrity. You will educate and gain buy-in from key stakeholders concerning the utilization of process to ensure appropriate execution each time.

We are seeking dedicated, disciplined, process professionals who excel in a team environment and are experts in process improvement. This individual will have demonstrated that they can improve company processes in the past, resulting in saving time and resources for the company. This individual must be able to effectively communicate and influence partners across the company and across multiple levels of the organization. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic agile environment are essential to succeeding in this role. This individual must display strong leadership skills and be able to drive and motivate a team in delivering flawless execution of process improvement projects.

You'll be part of a collaborative, high-performing group focused on process improvement and operational excellence. The team values analytical thinking, attention to detail, and adaptability. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the Global Payment Network, with a focus on Settlement and Disputes.

This Team: Partner Testing and Certification focuses on enhancing the partner experience by developing robust tools that enable the certification of external partners' solutions and services, ensuring they meet established quality and performance standards before integration into our ecosystem. The team leads the transformation of operational models and processes by collaborating with partners to design effective testing protocols, automating evaluations, and streamlining workflows for optimal compatibility and reliability.

Role & Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Create, validate, and modify business and system processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Design and produce metrics to measure process outcomes and drive continuous improvement.

  • Analyze data trends to ensure data integrity and install benchmarks.

  • Educate and gain buy-in from key stakeholders on process utilization and execution.

  • Drive process improvements aligned with customer outcomes and business goals.

  • Provide settlement subject matter expertise in projects and meetings, representing the department.

  • Collaborate across teams and levels to influence and implement change.

  • Maintain formal process documentation, including procedures and flow diagrams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in Process Management

  • At least 2 years of experience in Project Management

  • At least 2 years of experience in People Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters or MBA degree

  • 6+ years of experience in Process Management

  • 3+ years of experience in Project Management

  • 4+ years of experience in People Management

  • PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, or Business Process Management certification

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago, IL: $149,000 - $170,000 for Sr Manager, Process Management


McLean, VA: $163,900 - $187,100 for Sr Manager, Process Management










Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
