Responsibilities

Minimum of 2-3 years of retail management experience required

The role is primarily internal,but often involves external activities such as attending markets to source merchandise, stay updated on trends, and build vendor relationships.

Position Summary: 

Oversee gift shop operations to include customer service, merchandise selection, sales, display and inventory management.  Utilizing the POS system to price and pull reports.  Responsible for strengthening and growing volunteer programs and services that meet hospital and community needs. Develop strategies for volunteer recruitment, recognition, fund-raising and program initiatives. Represent the volunteer organization within the community. Perform all work in accord with the mission, vision and values of St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.

  • Provide oversight of hospital gift shop and coordinates purchases with supervisor and designated volunteer.
  • Maintains clear and current knowledge of legal and administrative requirements and/or issues related to volunteer programs. Must follow volunteer bylaws and encourage and enable executive board to provide organizational leadership and ownership.
  • Participate in communication/civic activities and events to promote volunteer opportunities
  • Develops and cultivates relationships with current volunteers, potential recruits and external partners/organizations.
