Delivery Processing Associate

Purpose: The Delivery Processing Associate supports and coordinates the execution of daily delivery activities. This role is essential in partnering with our 3PL partners, operations team, and customers to resolve delivery issues and ensuring compliance with any delivery exceptions reported. In this role, you will be taking inbound calls and placing outbound calls for customer follow up.
General Description of Duties:

- Acts as a liaison between the company and delivery carriers or vendors to ensure execution of promised deliveries.
- Handles in-route driver communication, provides support, and ensures delivery timelines are met and properly tracked.
- Provides timely follow up with customers to resolve any delivery issues including creating parts orders, services, returns, or exchanges. This includes supporting outbound/inbound calls regarding delivery scheduling or rescheduling.
- Manages delivery-related customer concerns, coordinating with drivers and stores to ensure resolution.
- Uses warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and update order statuses.
- Places parts orders for services as well following up to ensure services are completed.
- Assists with invoice auditing and reporting related to 3PL chargebacks, routing issues, and delivery performance metrics.
- Conducts order audits prior to delivery to ensure order integrity and customer satisfaction and regularly analyzes reports to track and support the delivery department's key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Supports Customer Care calls as needed.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Personable, attentive, with empathy and de-escalation skills and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communicator.
- Ability to manage ongoing and high priority assignments at the same time.
- Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
- Experience working with/around powered equipment, warehouse machinery, and hand/power tools preferred.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Positive working attitude.
- Basic proficiency with computer skills to include Microsoft Office.
- Fundamental understanding of vendor and 3rd party contracts.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated success in a Customer Service role is preferred.
- Must be available to work a flexible shift which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
