Job description

Job Description:
Detail-oriented, reliable, creative team player to lead/assist in process design for new and existing facilities. Analyze, calculate, and design new or revamped process equipment in refinery, chemical, and other industrial applications.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
   Conduct field and technical evaluations of existing process units
   Perform calculations, develop PFDs and P&IDs, provide design documentation for downstream engineering disciplines, develop equipment specifications, compile scope of work packages for construction
   Interface with Client and Construction, attend meetings, and provide written reports
   Provide technical support for field execution, including outage/turnaround projects

Minimum Qualifications:
   Education:    Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
   Experience:    Min Yr = 3+
   Licensure:    E.I.T. Preferred, PE license a plus
   Technical Skills:    Knowledge of P&ID development, heat and material balances, hydraulic and equipment sizing calculations, relief device sizing, API standards, and ASME codes required. Knowledge of process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) preferred
   Management:    Experience in coordinating across multiple disciplines required
   Other Skills:    Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills

Individual field assignments typically have their own unique requirements.  Prior to deployment on any field assignment, you must be able to meet all client-specific site requirements.  Should you be unable or unwilling to meet assignment-specific requirements, your continued employment would then be subject to the availability of other assignments whose requirements can be met.  These unique requirements may include:

   You must possess physical mobility (on the ground and at heights).
   You may be required to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
   You may be required to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off platforms/scaffolding/ladders using the appropriate and required fall protection.  
   You must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold, and wind) while wearing the appropriate PPE. This may include, but not be limited to, a hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, earplugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and leather, steel-toed work boots.  
   You may be required to position yourself to work in confined spaces
   You may be required to adhere to a client's random drug testing program prior to entering their site.
   You may be required to meet a client's facial hair safety policy prior to entering their site.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $130,000 annually
The above pay range represents a general guideline; however, Brindley considers several factors when determining base salary that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, certifications, specific work location, and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans in addition to base pay to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results.
