Job description

About the Role

Nanopath is seeking a Process Development Senior Research Associate / Associate Scientist to join our Assay R&D team and help develop, optimize, and scale the workflows that support Nanopath's diagnostic platform. This role will be highly hands-on and will support process development across assay preparation, reagent development, and analytical testing.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of robust, repeatable protocols for reagent manufacturing, array fabrication, and assay execution.
  • Assist with process characterization, QC, stability, reproducibility, and verification-supporting studies as Nanopath advances toward regulated product development.
  • Prepare reagents, samples, and materials; maintain lab organization; and support routine equipment use and maintenance.
  • Collect, analyze, summarize, and present experimental data in a clear and timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot experimental workflows and collaborate with assay, engineering, product, and operations team members to identify root causes and implement improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, molecular biology, chemistry, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience with liquid handler automation, automated assay workflows, or programming / operating automated laboratory platforms.
  • Experience with nucleic acid assays, biosensors, microarrays, or spotting / printing technologies
  • Familiarity with design control, quality systems, GLP/GxP principles, or documentation practices for regulated diagnostics.
  • Extremely well-organized, with a high level of efficiency, attention to detail, and motivation for completing tasks accurately and on time.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in cross-functional and highly collaborative work environments.
