The System Administrator provides support for system administration and network components inclusive of server configurations, emergency restoration services, backups, and maintenance. This role will be expected to support our Tomato Season by working up to 6 days a week from mid July until late October.
This position will be primarily responsible for:
  • Manage, monitor and maintain VMware, Windows, and Linux server environments ensuring a secure and high availability environment. To include provisioning and decommissioning servers as required.
  • Administer on-premises and Azure Active Directory. Including adding and removing users, groups, printers and managing user permissions as required.
  • Manage daily operations of core infrastructure and platforms including, but not limited to, servers, video, data, and voice servers.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure backup, and redundancy strategies.
  • Administration of Office 365 Platform including SharePoint and Microsoft Teams sites.
  • Manage the company's mobile device environment (InTune, Jamf, ManageEngine).
  • Respond to complex, escalated incidents and requests until they are resolved.
  • Create and maintain documentation for the infrastructure environment.
  • Manage third party vendors as required to ensure smooth and efficient project implementations.
  • Manage software and hardware licensing contracts.
  • Participate in and lead IT projects, and where applicable, ensure these are delivered within scope, budget, and adhere to company governance processes.
  • Proactively research new and more efficient technology and vendors in the pursuit of stability and support for business processes.
  • Where applicable, mentor the IT support staff and provide guidance and hands-on training. Promoting excellent customer service, high quality of work, and efficient problem-solving standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
  • Advanced knowledge of networking and distributed computing environment concepts.
  • Experience with Windows Server management including DNS, File Servers, Print Management, Group Policy.
  • Sound understanding of the principles of routing, firewalls, and client/server applications.
  • Solid experience with Physical and Virtual Servers (VMware), Operating system to include Windows and Linux.
  • Proven administration experience of Microsoft Products including Active Directory both on-premises and Azure AD, MFA, and Microsoft Intune.
  • Strong organization skills to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work within a team and provide leadership in the design, deployment, and support of infrastructure systems.
  • Manage daily operations of core infrastructure.
  • Administer on-premises and Azure Active Directory, as well as ERP systems, including adding and removing users, groups, printers, and managing user permissions as required.

  • Knowledge of Scripting and Automation.
  • Proficient in creating and updating process procedures.
  • May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as a service (IaaS).

Other Requirements:
Requires working six days a week during our harvest season, which usually lasts about 10 weeks from July to September. During this time, shift schedules may vary.
Physical Requirements:
Some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 50% or more sitting, 25% or less walking, and 25% or more standing. The job is performed under occasional temperature variations and primarily in an office environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift to 50 lbs. is required.
