What you will have an opportunity to do:
Position Summary:
Shula's Steak House at the Hilton University of Florida is seeking a professional and service-driven Server to deliver an exceptional dining experience. This role is responsible for maintaining a smooth and efficient restaurant operation while providing attentive, knowledgeable, and polished service to every guest.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide friendly, prompt, and attentive service to all guests
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen
  • Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages with proper presentation
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items, including food, beer, wine, and spirits
  • Be knowledgeable about hotel amenities and other on-property dining options
  • Assist with daily setup and breakdown of the dining room and service stations
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of tables, side stations, and overall restaurant environment
  • Polish and maintain flatware, glassware, and plates to established standards
  • Monitor food quality and service levels, addressing issues as needed
  • Expedite orders, verifying accuracy and presentation before service
  • Complete all assigned side work daily
  • Process guest checks and handle cash and payments according to company procedures
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented environment for both staff and guests

Qualifications:
  • Previous serving experience preferred, ideally in an upscale or fine dining environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
