We are seeking a dedicated Systems Administrator (IAT-II) to provide critical cybersecurity support for a key government customer at NAS Patuxent River, MD. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth cybersecurity analysis and ensuring the rigorous application of DoD security controls to both operating systems and applications. This role is integral to maintaining the security and integrity of a vital DoD network environment, thereby supporting a crucial DoD mission. Responsibilities What You'll Do: The Systems Administrator -IAT II will utilize knowledge and experience with standard Information Assurance (IA) concepts, practices, and procedures to plan and accomplish goals pertaining to the environment. Infrastructure & Server Management * Install, configure, maintain, and administer both a physical and virtual Linux and Windows based server/client infrastructure. * Manage Virtual environment utilizing MS Hyper-V technology. * Manage and Maintain implementation of SharePoint and Exchange servers. * Manage and maintain Network security appliances and switches. * Maintain, and upgrade network operating systems software (licensing / versioning) and hardware to comply with IA requirements. * Procure and repair components necessary to maintain information technology systems. Information Assurance & Security * Configure, Optimize, and test client/server infrastructure to ensure they comply with security policy, procedures, and technical requirements utilizing DISA STIGs and ACAS. * Perform Flaw Remediation and System Patching. * Analyze system performance for potential security problems. * Evaluate potential IA security risks and take the appropriate corrective and recovery action. * Assist IA staff in identifying system vulnerabilities and performing incident response. * Recommend and schedule IA related repairs in the computing environment. * Administer Cross Domain Solution. System Administration & Analysis * Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment via both active directory and local policies. * Conduct systems analysis and summarize the data collected in a technical document written in a manner that is understood and usable by decision makers. Qualifications General: * Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within enhanced security environments. * In-depth knowledge of DoD accreditation processes and procedures, including JSIG/RMF. Education / Certifications: * High School Diploma (or equivalent) * This position requires U.S. citizenship and a final DoD TOP SECRET clearance with most recent investigation (SSBI, SBPR, PPR, T5, T5R) completed within the last 6 years. Must be SCI eligible * Must meet DoD 8570/8140 requirements Experience: * 4+ years of experience in the administration of Windows-based server environments, with additional experience in UNIX/Linux systems. * Technical capability in managing virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMWare. * Knowledge in the administration of key server applications, including SharePoint, Exchange, and/or SQL Server. * Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within enhanced security environments. * In-depth knowledge of DoD accreditation processes and procedures, including JSIG/RMF.
