Job description

TITLE: Senior Reliability Engineer
LOCATION: Onsite in Alsip, IL
COMP RANGE: $100,000 - $120,000 / year plus bonus
Griffith Foods is hiring a Senior Reliability Engineer is a strategic position responsible for developing long-term asset reliability, implementing mechanical integrity program, and ensuring that the site complies with applicable standards and regulations. The primary focus of this role is to provide leadership, mentorship, and work direction to a multi-disciplinary group of in-house resources, as well as direction to contractors and inspectors. This role will be responsible for the evaluation of equipment reliability while making plans and recommendations to address challenges facing the assets. This role will provide procurement support to the Maintenance Department.
This is your opportunity to work closely with Maintenance, Project Engineering, and Production to develop the strategies, standards, and technical solutions needed to improve equipment availability and overall plant performance.
As a Senior Reliability Engineer your responsibilities will include:
  • Generate and report reliability KPIs
  • Drives the critical contractor Preventive Maintenance (PM) Program, primary handler of procurement and hosting for these contractors)
  • Primary technical resource for maintenance and reliability
  • Develop preventive/predictive reliability program such as lubrication, vibration and infrared thermography
  • Responsible for PM refinement, effectiveness, asset uptime, identify and resolve equipment concerns
  • Develop and execute small capital projects for reliability improvement
  • Manage resolution planning for long-term reliability concerns
  • Assess equipment performance data and ensure optimal and efficient performance of plant assets
  • Assist in corrective-maintenance, preventive-maintenance and/or project cost estimation
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process for assets experiencing downtime
  • Drive resolution of highest impact issues with a sense of urgency and integrity

Qualified candidates will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Program (Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related fields) or 10+ years' experience in Maintenance/Reliability Management.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 10%.
  • Candidates must currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
