Chemical Process Engineer

Senior Process Engineer

  • Location:  Memphis TN/West Memhis, AR region  - WORK IS ONSITE ( sorry, no remote/hybrid work available)

  • Job Availability:  Available IMMEDIATELY

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to support manufacturing operations at our existing production facility in West Memphis, AR,  via a continuous improvement mindset, working to identify and then implement process improvements at all levels, through process optimization, continuous improvement, and project execution. 

This role will focus on improving production performance, supporting process reliability, and leading engineering initiatives that enhance safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, improve, and optimize manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, product quality, and overall plant performance.
  • Analyze process data, conduct engineering calculations, and identify opportunities for cost reduction, yield improvement, and waste minimization.
  • Troubleshoot process and production issues while providing technical support to operations and maintenance teams.
  • Prepare and maintain process documentation, operating procedures, and engineering standards.
  • Lead or participate in process safety reviews, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, support new product or process introductions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support capital projects by defining process requirements, evaluating equipment solutions, and assisting with startup and commissioning activities.
  • Track key performance metrics and lead projects focused on productivity, reliability, safety, and environmental performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 7+ years of process engineering experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience with process safety management programs is preferred, including an understanding of the 14 elements of PSM and their practical implementation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, along with similar communication/documentation skills.
  • Experience leading process improvement and capital project initiatives.
  • Ability to work effectively across engineering, operations, maintenance, and leadership teams.
