Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Business Analyst 3 to support business systems analysis, process improvement, documentation, and application support initiatives within an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate with IT teams, developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to evaluate business systems, gather and document requirements, and support software development and modernization activities. This role requires strong expertise in business analysis, data analysis, SDLC methodologies, business process reengineering, software testing, and technical documentation. The candidate will also be responsible for translating technical application functionality into user-friendly guides, visuals, and instructional materials while supporting process improvements, testing, ROI analysis, and stakeholder coordination.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems, workflows, and user requirements
  • Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements
  • Collaborate with developers, IT teams, analysts, and stakeholders to support business objectives
  • Develop, maintain, and update user guides, technical documentation, and instructional materials
  • Create screenshots, process visuals, and user-friendly reference documentation
  • Update documentation to reflect application enhancements, modifications, and system changes
  • Organize technical information into clear and user-friendly formats for end users
  • Participate in meetings, walkthroughs, demonstrations, and project discussions
  • Support software development reviews and provide business analysis guidance
  • Assist with unit testing, system testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
  • Conduct business process mapping, process improvement, and reengineering activities
  • Prepare cost-benefit analysis, ROI documentation, and solution recommendations
  • Support training documentation updates and documentation governance activities

  • Experience as both a Business Analyst and Data Analyst preferred


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12+ years of overall experience required
  • Minimum 4+ years of State Agency experience required
  • PMP or project management experience is a strong plus
  • Experience supporting business systems analysis and data analysis preferred
  • Experience creating end-user documentation and training materials preferred
  • Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills require


Certifications:

  • PMP certification preferred
  • Project Management certification or equivalent experience preferred
