ABOUT THE ROLE 

Duro-Last Roofing, the world's largest manufacturer of prefabricated roofing systems, is hiring Process Quality Technicians at our headquarters in Saginaw, Michigan. In this role, you'll perform testing, audits, and data analysis to help identify improvements and maintain compliance with specifications. It's a great opportunity for someone with a quality or lab background who enjoys problem-solving and making a direct impact on production excellence.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Perform lot acceptance testing and release components for the roof systems.
  • Ensure completion of layered audits and quality improvement action items.
  • Perform daily process audits to ensure each process is producing quality products that meet or exceed our manufacturing specifications.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure specifications are maintained in the flooring systems.
  • Able to read and understand part specifications, measurements, radius's, and blueprints.
  • Able to read gauging devices.
  • Other duties / responsibilities as assigned.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required

Required Work Experience:

  • Individual must have at least 2 years in a manufacturing, testing, and/or lab environment.
  • Technical training or degree in engineering, math or science is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and a team player.
  • Problem solving and analytical ability are needed to interpret data from process outputs.
  • The incumbent will need to draw conclusions and recommendations based on quality, analytical or lab scale data.
  • Effective interpersonal skills will be needed to communicate and report progress to Duro-Last managers.
