Job description

PMO Analyst / Senior Project Manager:  to evolve a recently implemented, basic project management process (PMO) into a high-performing, scalable framework.  Lead the transition from basic, manual tracking tools to a modern, automated project management platform as appropriate.  Move the PMO beyond its current compliance-focused governance, building out actionable execution steps and workflows that drive project delivery.  

Responsibilities

  • Assess existing PMO functions, define organizational needs, and adhere to strategic recommendations for improvement or new implementation
  • Adapt, standardize, and follow project management methodologies, processes, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and communicate status, risks, and outcomes effectively to stakeholders at all levels
  • Assist Enterprise Program Management (EPM) with tasks, organize meetings, and ensure all necessary documents and materials are available
  • Help coordinate resources, calendars, and documents needed for PMO processes
  • Capture, Publish & Maintain accurate meeting minutes and PMO outcomes
  • Identify and resolve minor project issues, and help develop contingency plans for potential risks

Skills and Experience

  • PMO / Portfolio Management / Project Management experience (8+ years)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze data points, conduct risk assessments, and provide data-driven insights and recommendations
  • Proven ability to collaborate and coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders without direct authority
  • Experience with coordinating multiple projects in-parallel with competing timelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and build consensus
  • A strong understanding of how projects contribute to overall business strategy and goals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office & SharePoint.  Experience on Confluence, JIRA, Service Now & Visio a strong plus.
  • Good in navigating ambiguities and thrive in fast-paced environments
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, PMO frameworks, tools, and software

Start:  ASAP

Duration:  12 months with possibility of extension

Location:  Cherry Hill, NJ area.  Hybrid onsite 3 days/week required.
