Job description

Worth Construction Co., Inc. a leading high-quality Commercial Contractor based in Fairfield County, CT seeks a Construction Project Manager to work in the Tri-State Area. The Construction Project Manager will serve as a vital team member partnering with the Lead Superintendent while reporting to the Project Executive on the full scope of the construction project. The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for Document Control & Procurement Management, Communication, Cost Management, Project Reporting Management & People Management while representing Worth Construction Co., Inc. throughout the full project cycle.

Job Location: Bethel, CT

Preferred Candidate should have BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management and/or at least 5-10 years experience working in the commercial field, with a hands-on working knowledge of all phases of general construction from planning to completion. Competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Understand the plans, specifications & contracts of the project
  • Process RFI's and Submittals - Familiar with Submittal Exchange, Procore and/or New Forma
  • Track and manage all critical path deliverables throughout the project duration (submittal management and procurement log)
  • Manage risk prevention on site by ensuring subcontracts and insurances are in place prior to mobilization
  • Take an active part in monthly schedule updates that accurately reflect current procurement status, shop drawing process, project impacts and delays, and Subcontractor staffing and production.
  • Prepare and update the monthly applications for payments to owner and to subcontractors.
  • Documenting changes in the work and associated costs. Issuing proposed change orders as required.
  • Participate in safety planning for the project and lead by example when on the job site
