In the role of Transmission Line Project Manager, we'll count on you to:
  • Manage and lead transmission projects throughout the entire project life cycle, including scope and/or proposal
    development, project team development and assignment, project execution, project closeout, quality control, schedule, and budget management.
  • Track financial aspects of projects and adjusting work effort with the team to ensure that work is completed within
    parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule.
  • Work independently and/or directing staff workload through the entire project life cycle, so that project deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Lead the QA/QC process following HDR's Quality Management System requirements with a commitment to delivering world class quality.
  • At times, being responsible for overseeing non-engineering components of projects, including public involvement,
    environmental permitting, right of way acquisition, construction management, and other services.
  • Support client relationship development and engage in broader business development activities with existing and target clients.
  • Depending on candidate's location, there would be an opportunity to recruit and supervise a team and provide oversight over workload, quality, utilization, team morale, and team development.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience and client relationships in the Area are considered a strong advantage
  • Master's degree
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 7 years related experience
  • A minimum 2 years project management experience
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
  • MS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be plus)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
