Job Description
Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability.
Part-Time Instructor Responsibilities:
  • Lecture and Lab instruction for Air Conditioning Technology Courses
  • Develop Syllabi, Lesson Plans, and course materials in conjunction with Lead Faculty
  • Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes
  • Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.

Required Qualifications
  • Background and experience in courses taught

Preferred Qualifications
  • EPA Section 608 Certification
  • Current HVAC Excellence, NATE or ICE certifications
  • 10 years of service experience in the Air Conditioning Industry
  • Knowledgeable in Residential & Commercial Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Gas Furnaces, Essential Plant Operations, and Building Systems Operations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to act effectively as a member of a team
  • Self-starter, creative, goal-oriented and organized
  • AAS in Air Conditioning Technology or similar
  • Experience teaching in a community college setting
  • Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce
  • Knowledge of computer classroom technologies

Schedule: Course assignments may be day, evening and/or weekend classes
Starting: $925.00 per credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
