Job description

We are seeking a motivated AI Intern to support focused artificial intelligence and automation projects across our manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for a student or earlyโ€‘career technologist who wants realโ€‘world experience applying modern AI tools to solve practical production, quality, and workflow challenges. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and quality teams to prototype AI solutions, analyze data, and help streamline processes. This is a handsโ€‘on role with exposure to a wide variety of manufacturing systems and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in designing, testing, and deploying AIโ€‘powered solutions that support production, quality, and efficiency goals.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze operational datasets from manufacturing systems (e.g., production logs, quality data, equipment metrics).
  • Build lightweight prototypes such as predictive models, computer vision tools, or workflow automations.
  • Support development of dashboards, reports, and visualizations for plant metrics and AI outputs.
  • Collaborate with crossโ€‘functional teams to document requirements, findings, and implementation steps.
  • Research new AI tools, frameworks, and best practices applicable to manufacturing environments.
  • Maintain clear documentation of models, workflows, and results.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, AI/ML, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Foundational knowledge of machine learning concepts and data analysis.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, AI frameworks, computer vision tools, visualization software, or automation platforms is a plus.
  • Interest in manufacturing, process optimization, or industrial automation.
  • Soft Skills
  • Strong problemโ€‘solving mindset and curiosity.
  • Willingness to learn new tools quickly.
  • Ability to communicate findings to both technical and nonโ€‘technical teams.
  • Detailโ€‘oriented, organized, and able to work independently with guidance.
  • What Youโ€™ll Gain
  • Handsโ€‘on experience applying AI to real operational challenges.
  • Exposure to modern manufacturing processes and industrial systems.
  • Mentorship from engineers and leaders supporting innovation initiatives.
  • Opportunity to contribute directly to efficiency, quality, and capability improvements.
