Job Summary The Producti on Operator is responsible for filling paint and coatings into final packaging, boxing and palletizing finished goods, and performing routine to complex manufacturing assignments. This role requires safe and efficient operation of production assets, troubleshooting equipment issues, and compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Operators must demonstrate mechanical aptitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team environm ent. Key Responsibilities Fill p aint and coatings into final packaging, box, and palletize finished goods. Operate production equipment safely and in compliance with established procedures. Conduct daily production tasks, preventative maintenance, process data collection, and administrative duties. Report safety, quality, or production issues to the Supervisor and provide progress updates. Comply with corporate, site, and laboratory policies related to conduct, HSE, and Product Safety & Regulatory Affairs (PRSA). Ensure proper collection, labeling, and closure of hazardous waste containers. Immediately notify HSE in the event of leaks or spills. Follow all Process Safety Management (PSM) policies, procedures, and emergency action plans. Understand and apply basic hazardous waste laws (RCRA) related to generation, storage, transportation, and disposal. Maintain accurate records and detailed notes about batch processing. Perform basic lab equipment functions and demonstrate mechanical aptitude with general tools. Use Microsoft Office for data collection and recording. Apply proficient math skills to measure weights and volumes (standard and metric). Perform frequent lifting (up to 55 lbs), bending, reaching, climbing ladders/stairs, and operating valves/hoses. Use PPE including safety glasses, face shields, dust masks, and other required equipment. Provide continuous process updates, receive and give direction, and train other operators when necessary. Work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities with limited super vision. Required Qualifications High sc hool diploma or GED equivalent. At least 18 years of age. Ability to read, interpret, and make decisions using trends, graphs, and charts. Strong record-keeping and documentation skills. Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with general mechanic’s tools. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office. Proficient math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages). Ability to lift and handle materials up to 55 lbs and maneuver heavy equipment safely. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
