Job Description

We are looking for a Process Engineering Manager responsible for all process engineering efforts within Lyndhurst Operations to support Sika Corporation product manufacturing.  The incumbent shall be a “hands on” leader that is responsible for process design, implementation and operation. The Process Engineering Manager will improve industrial processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Member, and active participant, of the Lyndhurst Leadership Team with the target of Operational Excellence in Safety, Quality, Supply & Efficiency.
  • Structure and staff the process engineering department to contain expertise in polyurethane sealant and adhesive manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Direct all plant functions of Process Engineering to produce high quality products through equipment process controls and introduction of new raw material and innovative products.
  • Manage other process engineers, and participate in capital expenditure and implement plans to improve process capability.
  • Lead the development of process improvements toward state of the art, commercial compliant processes and reduced COGs.
  • Lead process engineering efforts including lean analysis to improve production, error proofing, and packaging efficiency, process optimization, and implementation.
  • Take charge of all Root Cause Analysis efforts for all departments, analyze process errors, determine root cause, and transfer preventative/corrective actions to the plant floor.
  • Lead Tracking and Trending program structure and reporting (Technical Expert Team – TEM).
  • Coordinate and write technical reports on key development findings.
  • Assist project management to determine engineering activities, timelines and resource needs to meet corporate goals.
  • As necessary, assist corporate developments to support Sika’s goals and objectives, and other legal documents, to execute work plans and projects.
  • Contribute technical input into in-house project selection, design and layout.
  • Continually seek and evaluate new potential technologies for process optimization.
  • Completes other assignments as assigned by Senor Management.

    Salary Range: $110,000-$125,000 based on education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant

    Qualifications

    Qualifications/Experience/Education:

    • Must be a well-educated manufacturing leader who is capable of pushing forward the necessary strategies and programs to increase quality, productivity and customer service.
    • B.S. Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
    • 10 years or more manufacturing experience in process engineering.
    • 5 years or more experience in team building and management.
    • This person must possess excellent communication skills, which are characterized by sincerity, persuasiveness and clarity of thought.
