Scope of Position

This detail-oriented Material Handler II plays a critical role in supporting plant operations by receiving, storing, counting, issuing, and transacting equipment, materials, products, supplies, tools, and inventories.

This position reports to the Distribution Operations Supervisor. This role is onsite and is based in our Sparks, NV location.

First Shift Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m. (over time as needed on front end of shift).

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and supplies.

  • Operate multiple types of material handling equipment, including fork trucks, reach trucks, and picker trucks.

  • Pick items according to established procedures and package and ship materials.

  • Use scanners for inventory transactions and perform cycle counts.

  • Conduct physical and scale counting to ensure accurate inventory levels.

  • Complete system transactions and procedures to maintain inventory records.

  • Ensure a flow of materials throughout the supply chain to support operations.

  • Perform physical inventories and assist with other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in materials handling or warehouse operations.

  • Proficient math skills and basic computer skills for performing inventory transactions.

  • Ability to read, write and understand English

  • Physical capability to occasionally stand, sit, use hands to handle, feel, and lift/move up to 50 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Ability to pass a pre-hire drug test, including for marijuana.

  • Ensure company policies are followed

  • Enforce company safety policies

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

Working Conditions

While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site in a Distribution Center facility. You will be required to work at the Company’s Sparks location in Nevada. Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to physically move around manufacturing floor.

  • Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers.

  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
