Purpose

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of products in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. This role assists with general upkeep of the pharmacy and building facility.

Responsibilities

  • Unloads inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product & supplies, and the movement and staging of outbound shipments.
  • Coordinates movement of products to storage areas with proper equipment and efficiently stacks and stores the merchandise in the appropriate area.
  • Assists with physical inspections of warehouse condition and equipment, prepares work orders for repairs, and requisitions for replacement of equipment.
  • Prepares shipments including boxing, cooler shipping materials, and preparing pack-outs for shipment.
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work environment and assists in maintaining the security and safety of the facility, including organizing and cleaning.
  • Communicates with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities such as production, sales, records control, restocking of daily use items and purchasing.
  • Responsible for process improvement and process management of all inbound inventory receiving, stocking, pulling, shipping and inventory control.
  • Assists with the cooler return refurbishment program such as breaking down cooler returns, cleaning the coolers per procedure, and setting up the refurbished cooler.
  • Responsible for baling corrugate in the facility.
  • Responsible for driving company vehicle to transport as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED.)
  • Must be registered with the state Board of Pharmacy or be eligible to obtain registration prior to or within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Active and valid TN driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year of previous warehouse, logistics or pharmacy experience
  • DOT certified

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, printers and phones, as well as common warehouse equipment such as gloves, box cutters, and manual and electric pallet jacks.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, see, talk, or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Visual acuity is necessary for tasks such as reading, observing surroundings, or working with various forms of data. Must be able to regularly lift 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
