About our role:

The Account Executive is responsible for driving profitable sales growth within an assigned territory by developing new business opportunities and maximizing the potential of existing salon partners. This role focuses on prospecting new accounts, expanding business within the current customer base, and promoting the full portfolio of Kao Professional Hair products.
Success in this role is achieved by building strong, consultative relationships with salon owners and stylists, identifying growth opportunities, and executing strategic Joint Business Plans. The Account Executive collaborates closely with the Area Sales Manager, Brand Executives, and Education team to deliver tailored business strategies, support cross-brand growth opportunities, and help salon partners increase service and retail revenue while achieving mutual business objectives.

At Kao Canada, we offer an excellent benefits package, plus a competitive salary of $50,000 - $55,000, bonus, and car allowance.

This role will service a territory of Windsor to Sarnia which forms the westernmost part of Southwestern Ontario, encompassing, Essex County, Chatham-Kent, and Lambton County. 

What you will do:

  • Achieve monthly territory sales budgets.
  • Represent Kao Professional Hair in professional business attire during all sales visits, meetings, educational events, and training programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and develop positive working relationships with all Kao employees and customers at a professional level.
  • Submit in a timely manner any reporting, paperwork and/or market feedback as requested by Area Sales Manager.
  • Communicate and promote all educational program and company driven events.
  • Ability to effectively share and communicate when required company core values.
  • Required to be consistently current and well versed on all Kao Professional Hair products.
  • Have a minimum 3 years "on-the-road", consultative experience in B2B sales.
  • Preferred but not limited to having previous experience working within the salon industry.
  • Strong ability to sell and/or influence others.
  • Ability to drive growth through new account acquisitions and managing existing territory business development.
  • Excellent presentation & time management skills.
  • Possess strong negotiation and organizational skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented; persistent in getting the sale.
