As our company continues to expand, we are seeking a Controller to join our growing team!

Pay Rate: Competitive salary based on experience.

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Position Summary: The Controller serves as a strategic financial leader responsible for the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, payroll oversight, cash flow management, and internal controls. This position partners closely with the CEO and leadership team to provide financial insight that supports sound business decisions, profitability, and long-term growth.

Essential Functions:

  • Leads the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department by providing guidance and support to the Bookkeeper and Administrative Specialist.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, general ledger activity, and monthly financial close processes.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Develop and manage the company's annual operating budget while partnering with department leaders on financial planning.
  • Monitor budgets, labor costs, and operating expenses while identifying opportunities to improve financial performance.
  • Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts and support long-term financial planning.
  • Oversee payroll processing, commissions, payroll taxes, and related reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies.
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
  • Collaborate with company leadership to support organizational initiatives and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • CPA designation is preferred but not required.
  • Five (5) or more years of progressive accounting or financial leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to leaders with varying financial knowledge.
  • Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience leading and developing employees while fostering accountability and collaboration.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Leads with a servant mindset by supporting the success and development of team members while serving as a trusted financial advisor to company leadership.
