Job Purpose

The Process Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the Maintenance, Facilities, and Process Engineering teams at our manufacturing site. This role ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant processes and infrastructure, while driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Maintenance and Facilities teams to ensure efficient operation and upkeep of equipment and facilities
• Direct the Process Engineering group in optimizing and improving manufacturing processes across multiple battery product lines
• Oversee plant safety initiatives related to equipment and processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory and company standards
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, product quality, and production throughput
• Plan and execute facility layout changes to support growth, scalability, and capacity expansion
• Collaborate with Manufacturing to analyze and optimize utilization, performance, and process metrics
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including Program Management, to strengthen change control processes and improve customer satisfaction
• Support long-term strategies for equipment upgrades, automation, and capital investments
• Provide full supervisory leadership, including hiring, training, performance management, and issue resolution

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in equipment maintenance, plant operations, or process engineering
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and best practices
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with process metrics, facility layout planning, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in defense or battery manufacturing
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies
• Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification; Black Belt preferred

Other Requirements
• Proficiency in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn legacy applications
• Minimal travel required
