Job description

The Production Supervisor is a people-focused leadership role within the Supply Chain Operations organization, based in Monroe, CT. This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day production operations, ensuring safe and efficient workflows, and leading a team of Production Technicians in support of hardware production, warranty, and replacement activities. The Production Supervisor manages production flow, monitors performance against quotas and SLAs, and ensures processes are executed consistently and safely. This role serves as the primary point of leadership for the production team, addressing personnel issues, coaching employees, and fostering a collaborative and accountable work environment. The Production Supervisor works closely with Supply Chain leadership and cross-functional partners to identify process improvements, test and implement operational changes, and communicate departmental updates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Communication

  • Attend daily leadership meetings and provide clear updates on departmental performance, risks, and priorities
  • Lead weekly standup meetings for the facility and participate in setting meeting agendas
  • Hold regular 1:1 touchpoint meetings with direct reports
  • Initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation and collaboration within the production team and across departments

Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment by educating and directing personnel on proper use of equipment, resources, and control points
  • Ensure compliance with established safety policies, procedures, and operational standards

Operations & Performance

  • Monitor production workflows by tracking each step of the process; identify opportunities for improvement and lead testing and implementation of new processes
  • Monitor and track employee quotas and productivity metrics; maintain workforce statistics and reporting
  • Ensure production goals, SLAs, and quality expectations are consistently met

People Management

  • Resolve personnel issues by analyzing data, investigating concerns, identifying solutions, and recommending or taking appropriate action
  • Support staffing, training, and performance management activities in partnership with leadership and HR

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in a production, manufacturing, or supply chain environment
  • Experience applying supply chain or operational improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data from multiple sources and make sound decisions in time-sensitive environments
  • Proven ability to manage workflows, priorities, and performance in a fast-paced operation
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead, coach, and influence teams
  • Ability to enforce safety standards, policies, and procedures consistently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior supervisory or people management experience in hardware production, manufacturing, or logistics
  • Experience managing productivity metrics, quotas, or workforce reporting
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar)
  • Experience working cross-functionally with operations, engineering, or supply chain teams
