We are seeking a Process Engineer for our Medium Voltage business focused on optimizing production processes to deliver cost savings, improve quality, and support new product introduction using safe, data-driven solutions. Additionally, this role provides technical support to Sales and customer inquiries.
Essential Job Functions
  • Optimize production processes to deliver cost savings, improve quality, and support new product introduction.
  • Work with the Sales team to develop new products.
  • Provide technical product support to the Sales team for customer concerns.
  • Identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Execute and achieve process improvement objectives on schedule in a team environment. Support business plan objectives to increase productivity, reduce scrap and excess usage, improve quality, and enhance safety.
  • Use Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to analyze problems associated with technical issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Complete ECNs and CARs as required to reflect needed changes in product process routings, customer complaints, or quality issues, in collaboration with quality and engineering teams.
  • Lead equipment and process improvement projects utilizing sound project management techniques and see projects through to completion.
  • Provide fact-driven root cause analysis.
  • Develop and maintain process training and certification documentation to ensure that operators clearly understand all position requirements.
  • Lead efforts on Job Safety Analysis and Operator Job Descriptions for new or modified processes.
  • Work with internal and external suppliers of materials, equipment, and services to execute projects, resolve problems, and improve processes.
  • Select, design, and modify tooling, fixtures, and equipment as necessary to improve safety, quality, throughput, and productivity.

Education, Experience and Knowledge Qualifications
  • 4-year degree in Engineering or Science required; Mechanical and/or Chemical preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Process Engineering preferred; Wire & Cable industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with extrusion machinery (CV and plastics) and related equipment/controls preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with the ability to work with data and generate reports.
  • Lean / Greenbelt training and experience preferred.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands
  • Primarily operates in a manufacturing/industrial environment with routine exposure to production equipment, moving mechanical parts, noise, and temperature fluctuations.
  • Regularly required to be present on the production floor to observe processes, troubleshoot issues, and support operations.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
