Job description

What You'll Do

You will oversee daily maintenance operations across multiple warehouses or a single complex facility, ensuring the installation, repair, and upkeep of machines, equipment, and utility systems. You will manage engineering and maintenance teams, set performance objectives, and monitor compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Occasional travel up to 5-12% may be required for development, training, and other business needs.

Essential Functions
  • Direct and assign work to engineering and maintenance associates, set performance objectives, and monitor team performance.
  • Prepare annual maintenance budgets, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions to achieve financial objectives.
  • Determine work priorities and schedule repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to support operational productivity.
  • Design, implement, and modify preventive maintenance programs by reviewing reports, inspecting equipment, and ensuring operational standards are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations and state codes, maintain a safe and clean working environment, and protect employees and visitors.
  • Maintain and analyze equipment reliability reports, initiate action plans for improvement, and ensure material handling equipment is operational and in good repair.
  • Execute capital projects including obtaining bids, submitting requests, and managing contractors and vendors throughout the process.
  • Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
What Experience and Education You Need
  • Minimum 5 years of experience required in maintenance with at least 3 years directly managing or supervising others.
  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize effectively.
  • Fully competent in mechanical and basic electrical concepts with ability to work hands‑on in mechanically oriented situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and experience with SAP or Oracle CMMS platforms.
What Could Set You Apart
  • Associate's degree or higher relevant to facility maintenance preferred.
  • CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) or similar certification preferred.
  • Completion of all eight RETA courses preferred.
  • RETA CARO or CIRO or equivalent preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards.
  • Material Handling Equipment (Forklift) knowledge and certification preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to build mentoring relationships and contribute to team development.
Physical Requirements
  • Able to work in spaces with 55 inches (1.4 meters) of headroom.
  • Able to tolerate working environment with inside controlled temperatures varying from 32 degrees Fahrenheit (0 degrees Celsius) to minus 45 (-45) degrees Fahrenheit (-43 degrees Celsius), as well as outside ambient temperatures (including heat, cold and precipitation).
  • Able to climb ladders or step ladders.
  • Able to tolerate heights up to 30 ft. (9 meters) and be able to access elevated products from inside safety cage.
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment required for working at heights and in cold temperatures.
  • Able to stand and/or walk continuously or frequently over an 8-10-12 hour shift. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Able to frequently step up/on or step down/off to mount and dismount material handling equipment.
  • Able to perform fine articulation movements with fingers/hands and/or feet to operate equipment.
  • Depending on specific role, must be able to lift boxes of varying weights up to 80 lbs. (36 kg) and carry product a distance of up to 6 ft. (2 meters) without mechanical assistance.
  • Able to meet specific vision abilities required by this job, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Able to hear and speak in order to comprehend, respond to, and provide instructions and safety warnings, as well as able to read and understand packaging, shipping documents, and safety guidelines.

The Company’s good-faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting for this position is $88,000 to $109,500 annual salary.
