Job description

Position: Process Engineer (Weekend shift, F-M, 4/10’s)

Vacancies: 1

Summary:

As a Process Engineer you will be expected to safely perform the following functions: design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing our industrial production processes; supervise and develop other production employees; manage preventative maintenance for key process equipment as well as downtime relating to maintenance; qualification of new machinery and process equipment; provide reporting to management on process issues and recommend process improvements. The Process Engineer will have a superior understanding of SRS equipment, machinery blueprints, process, and quality documentation. (i.e. in-process-inspection logs and variance reports).

This is a full time (40 hours as 4/10’s) position, Friday to Monday, currently from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm as agreed upon.

Your Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • To provide hands-on, technical support to the shop floor and interact with the management group during overlap periods.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with a hands-on emphasis.
  • Statistical and process analysis duties.
  • Design/integrate/implement the corrective/preventive actions to maximize up time/throughput and to assure/improve product quality, and processes.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in quality, cost or efficiency of equipment or process flow.
  • Train new employees on Safety/Shop Floor Procedures/compliance requirements.
  • Prepare reports on engineering/quality/regulation.
  • Supervising technicians in the future.
  • Interact with management, coworkers, suppliers, or 3rd parties.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

You must be able to legally work in the USA and provide the necessary document(s) for the I-9 verification. You must sign a Non-disclosure agreement on your first working day which protect sensitive company information.

Qualifications

  • Must have management/leadership skills and/or experience.
  • Must have prior engineering/process management experience.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English in both written and verbal forms. Spanish is an advantage.
  • Must have math, analytical and computer skills that will support production and engineering needs.

Education and/or Experience

  • At a minimum, the incumbent must possess a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited 4-year university.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Previous clean room environment experience is desirable.
