Sub Same Day (SSD) Engineering is looking for a Process Engineer with a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to own strategic and tactical, cross-functional operations and technology projects associated with (SSD) facilities.
As a Process Engineer for Amazon, you will work with some of the most talented engineers in the design, development, and delivery of physical distribution systems around the globe.
You will lead initiatives and complex cross-functional projects or programs that focus on the building of new, the alteration of existing, and the closing of end-of-life material handling and technology systems

As a working leader, you are able to take the lead on the implementation and delivery of large system designs and advanced technology in ambiguous and complex problem spaces.

Key job responsibilities
- Design Process: Develop new processes or modify existing ones, focusing on equipment, workflows, and material flow, select and specify equipment required for the process, ensuring it meets productivity goals and safety standards, analyze and optimize existing processes to identify areas for improvement to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and minimize costs.
- Ensure quality and safety: Develop and implement testing methods to ensure product standards, ensure processes adhere to safety regulations and standards, and investigate, resolve issues that may arise.
- Collaboration and Communication: partner/ collaborate with critical stakeholders ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency gains, effectively communicate technical information to stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences.
- Monitoring and Analysis: monitor process performance, collect and analyze data for further improvement, leverage data analysis techniques to understand process behavior, trends to make informed decisions.
- Utilize emerging technologies: leverage process simulation tools to model and analyses processes, research and implement new technologies to improve process efficiency and effectiveness

As a Process Engineer, you will work across organizations to find solutions for complex problems, innovating on behalf of our customers. You will be engaged in tactical and some strategic problem solving and decision-making. You will drive efforts, individually or in collaboration to optimize productivity, prioritizing high impact projects.

Your strong communication skills will be required when you present documents and findings to senior leadership. Your experience in conducting root cause analysis, will help in implementation of long-term solutions. You will be traveling (50%) to sites to ensure practical outcomes match theoretical ones.
