Job description

As a Process Engineer on the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) team, you will optimize and support SMT manufacturing operations by collaborating with crossfunctional stakeholders. You will use datadriven analysis and optimization methods to balance production loads across SMT lines while maintaining high throughput and quality in a highmix, midvolume environment. In addition to improving yield from existing equipment, this role involves specifying and integrating new equipment along with developing and supporting processes for new automated SMT line installs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide engineering support in multiple areas of manufacturing.
2. Specify, develop, justify, implement, and sustain assembly equipment and materials.
3. Improve quality, yield, efficiency, and capacity of processes in accordance with strategic objectives.
4. Apply statistical problem solving to identify root cause, evaluate new equipment and processes and process improvement activities.
5. Interpret results and provide recommendations to management.
6. Keep abreast of new developments in equipment, industry standards, be practices, and developments in assembly processes.
7. Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
8. Understand. Create. Simplify.
9. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
B.S. in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two years' experience in process development in a related world class manufacturing company
Ability to lead a cross functional team
Ability to influence others and reach consensus
Project management experience
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Knowledge of statistics as applied to process capability measurements
Effective writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)
Preferred Qualifications
Thorough understanding of the materials used in the industry

Pay Range Data:
$97,700 -$144,400 per year for the Process Engineer Position

$84,200 to $124,500 per year for the Associate Process Engineer Position

Candidates may be considered at different levels based on their background. As a result, pay may vary to align with the level of the role.
