The SMT Process Engineer will be instrumental in refining and overseeing the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) manufacturing processes to enhance operational efficiency and product quality within our small electronic manufacturing firm specializing in PCB contract manufacturing. This position requires a meticulous and experienced engineer capable of collaborating within a fast-paced production setting to spearhead process enhancements and effectively address any technical challenges. The role involves not just maintaining existing processes, but also innovating new techniques and strategies to meet the evolving demands of the industry, particularly within the niche of PCB manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, and improve SMT manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement and maintain rigorous process control systems and establish best practices within SMT manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as design, quality assurance, and production to ensure seamless and optimized process integration.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvement and proactively address them.
