The Test Technician will be responsible for performing a wide variety of technical tasks in support of processes, engineering, quality control, calibration, laboratories, production/test environment, line maintenance and/or chemical handling. What You Will Do * This position requires lifting, walking, and could involve stair/ladder climbing at the test range(s)
* Test, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical, computer, laboratory, and scientific systems and/or equipment.
* Observe, analyze, and report test data; and when appropriate makes necessary repairs to equipment.
* Work closely from approved procedures, schematics, and drawings.
* Ability to validate the correctness of procedures. Select, set up and operate engineering and scientific equipment.
* Utilize various engineering and scientific drawings, manuals, and other related documentation in the performance of their tasks. May include configuration/data administration. Checks for work correctness.
* Train junior test technicians focusing on basic electronic principles and radio frequency theory of operations and troubleshooting methodology.
* Communicate technical issues by generating comprehensive failure entries which correlate failure modes back to the associated test specification(s)
* Interpret test data (plots, graphs, tabulated parameters) to choose pass/fail condition and resolve when further analysis is needed.
* Troubleshoot and accurately diagnose failures from system level to Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) down to Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) and to component.
* This will be a 1st shift, onsite role in our Forest, MS facility. Qualifications You Must Have * Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training with minimum of 6 years relevant experience.
* Experience with troubleshooting electronic circuits to component level and effectively identify failure trends.
* Experience with Radio Frequency System and subsystem (Transmitter, Receiver, Antenna, Signal/Data Processor, Power Supply) evaluation.
* The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer * Experience with Radio Frequency or Electronic Warfare (EW) systems.
* Previous work in a manufacturing/production test environment
