Position Summary

The ITAD Process Engineer is a highly strategic key member of Securis' ITAD leadership team. Reporting directly to the EVP of ITAD, you will serve as the organization's foremost Subject Matter Expert (SME) for warehouse testing, data sanitization, grading, and process engineering.

This role is ideal for a seasoned ITAD operations veteran who has spent years on the warehouse floor testing, wiping, grading, and troubleshooting enterprise technology, and is ready to help design the next generation of ITAD operations.

As Securis' primary Process Engineer and Technology Scout, you'll divide your time equally between the warehouse and the workstation. Approximately 50% of your time will be spent researching emerging technologies, configuring Salesforce and Blancco, engineering more efficient workflows, and evaluating new testing capabilities. The remaining 50% will be spent on the warehouse floor validating processes, training technicians, troubleshooting complex hardware, and ensuring operational excellence.

While this role has no direct reports or purchasing authority, it carries tremendous organizational influence. You'll work hand-in-hand with the ITAD Operations Manager to design the "perfect process" for testing and wiping enterprise technology, expand Securis' capabilities into emerging asset categories such as AI servers and enterprise networking equipment, and continually improve the systems, tools, and workflows that maximize throughput, asset value, and profitability.

What You Will Do
  • Lead the research, development, and implementation of secure testing, grading, and data sanitization processes for emerging enterprise technologies, including AI servers, GPU infrastructure, enterprise storage, and high-end networking equipment.
  • Evaluate new categories of IT assets and develop repeatable processes that allow Securis to expand service offerings and maximize secondary-market value.
  • Continuously evaluate diagnostic software, wiping solutions, automation tools, hardware fixtures, and testing technologies that improve operational capabilities.
  • Build business cases and ROI analyses for new software, tools, and technology investments.
  • Stay ahead of evolving enterprise hardware platforms, ITAD technologies, and NIST data sanitization standards.
Optimization
  • Design, document, and continuously improve standardized testing, grading, and data sanitization workflows.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and engineer scalable solutions that improve productivity, consistency, and quality.
  • Develop repeatable processes capable of supporting significant operational growth.
  • Apply Lean thinking and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Continuously refine testing methodologies that improve throughput while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Systems
  • Serve as the technical super-user and primary configurator for Salesforce, Blancco, and other ITAD operational platforms.
  • Configure workflows, automation, grading logic, reporting, and system enhancements that improve warehouse performance.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, reduce unnecessary clicks, and eliminate repetitive data entry.
  • Partner with software vendors and leadership to continually enhance system capabilities.
  • Ensure operational platforms provide accurate visibility, traceability, and reporting throughout the ITAD lifecycle.
Execution
  • Spend approximately half of your time working directly on the warehouse floor.
  • Partner closely with the ITAD Operations Manager to successfully implement new operational processes.
  • Personally train and mentor warehouse technicians on testing methodologies, grading standards, software updates, and emerging hardware platforms.
  • Serve as the organization's highest level of technical escalation for complex hardware diagnostics, software issues, and data sanitization challenges.
  • Validate new processes and technologies before full operational deployment.
Value
  • Develop testing methodologies that maximize resale value while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Improve grading consistency and accuracy across all enterprise asset categories.
  • Expand Securis' capability to process increasingly complex, high-value enterprise technologies.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve recovery rates, reduce processing time, and increase profitability.
Leadership
  • Partner with Operations, Sales, Asset Acquisition, Engineering, and Executive Leadership to align technical capabilities with business objectives.
  • Support customer-specific technical requirements while helping Securis expand into new technologies and market opportunities.

  • Advanced experience configuring and optimizing Blancco, Salesforce, or comparable ITAD operational platforms.
  • Proven ability to design, improve, and scale warehouse processes that increase efficiency and throughput.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and technical training skills with the ability to influence teams without direct authority.
Preferred
  • Experience processing AI servers, GPU infrastructure, enterprise networking equipment, or hyperscale data center hardware.
